years ago before I even fully realized I was bisexual people used to ask me if I was gay, well, I could honestly say to them , no, I am not. But there was always this distant little voice that was saying “yeah but…” Bi-erasure has made it more difficult for me to accept my sexuality, I mean if I don’t exist how can I do anything with that? it was either you’re gay or straight and I was told that by a lesbian friend once! Well, now I’m married to a woman so now does everyone assume I’m straight? Probable. Except on leg day at the gym when I wear short shorts, but that’s fine . People will always make assumptions.
